Clean Energy Prize
The Clean Energy Prize presented by DTE Energy and the University of Michigan is an annual entrepreneurship competition that challenges teams from colleges and universities in Michigan to develop the best plan for bringing new clean-energy technologies to market. Open to students and faculty from any Michigan college or university, the prize will be administered and hosted by the University of Michigan.
DTE Energy reaffirmed its commitment as the anchor sponsor for the Clean Energy Prize’s second year. The first prize will be awarded in February 2011 with a total prize pool of $100,000. The Center for Entrepreneurship along with the University of Michigan’s Ross Energy Club are administering the prize in conjunction with the University-wide Michigan Business Challenge competition. Multiple groups within the University are involved in supporting the Clean Energy Prize, including:

- MPowered Entrepreneurship
- Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute
- The Office of Vice President of Research
